Cross-border business guide for companies

In Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland new business opportunities have been gradually emerging, as the economy transitions to  knowledge-driven, innovation-led development and adjusts to uncertain & changing market conditions.

To help businesses throughout Ireland make the most of these opportunities, InterTradeIreland had previously published:

A Simple Guide to Cross-Border Business

This had become the first point of reference for any company seeking to enter the cross-border market, offering up-to date and user-friendly, comprehensive information on issues connected with doing business in the other jurisdiction.

The subjects covered included Legal considerations, taxation and banking issues among others.  The Guide is currently being updated to reflect the changes, challenges and opportunities in the cross-border business environment created by Brexit.

InterTrade Ireland provides up to date information, insights and statistics and runs events to help SMEs on both sides of the border adapt to post Brexit trading.
