140 Information Advisors attended Cross Border Training
Crossing the border to live, work, study or retire can create questions and finding accurate answers can be difficult.
During 2013 & 2014 the Border People project hosted a series of training sessions for Information Advisors working or volunteering in organisations that deal with cross border enquiries from the public.
Each one-day course provided an overview of the social welfare system on the other side of the border and focussed on common cross border issues e.g. exporting benefits, where to pay tax, where to access health care, where to claim illness benefit, etc.
