  • The Department of Agriculture, Enrironment and Rural Affairs  (DAERA) has responsibilities in relation to education, training courses for the land-based and food industries and development programmes in Northern Ireland.  Source: DARD – Education & Research
  • College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise offers a range of Further and Higher Education courses at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE).  CAFRE welcomes students with a wide range of entry qualifications and backgrounds onto courses in agriculture, environmental conservation, equine, farriery, floristry, food, food supply management, horticulture, land-based engineering and technology, rural and countryside management and veterinary nursing.  CAFRE has campuses in Enniskillen, Greenmount and Loughry.

Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities. It was established in September 1988 under the Agriculture (Research, Training and Advice) Act, 1988.  Over the years Teagasc has developed and delivered training programmes, workshops and seminars for the food & related sectors.
